dearly loved but never to be forgotten.
A PET'S TEN COMMANDMENTS.........
1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.
2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.
3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.
4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment,
but I have only you.
5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.
6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.
7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.
8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not
getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.
9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.
10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone.
Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so.

When I got to the gates of heaven
After we said goodbye,
I began to miss you terribly,
Because I heard you cry.
Suddenly there was an angel,
And she asked me to enter heaven's gate.
I asked her if I could stay outside
For someone who would be late.
I wouldn't make much noise you see,
I wouldn't bark or howl,
I'll only wait here patiently
And play with my tennis ball.
The angel said I could stay right here
And wait for you to come,
Because heaven just wouldn't be heaven
If I went alone.
So I'll wait right here, you take your time,
But keep me in your heart,
Because heaven just wouldn't be heaven
Without you to warm my heart.

Bulldog Health
Life span: 8-10 years
Health concerns: entropion, ectropion, distichiasis,
CHD, elbow dysplasia, cherry eye, patellar luxation
Occasionally seen: urethral prolapse, vaginal hyperplasia
Note:
It is prone to skin fold dermatitis unless the wrinkles are kept clean and dry.
It cannot tolerate heat. Special precautions
must be taken when anesthetizing a bulldog.

I am just writing to let you know of the sad passing away of Miss Lilly (the white bulldog we adopted).
According to the vet she had a rare strain of gastroenteritis, which eventually got the better of
her. My Husband was and still is devastated. She was his buddy. She passed away wrapped in a blanket on his lap.
Miss Lilly spent many summers running around in the back yard, and in the swimming
pool with my three daughters, she was a kind and loving dog who will be sadly missed.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to have her in our lives, she was awesome,

My dogs,woke up.
As I sat on the edge of the bed
deciding whether or not to face the day,
they bounded out of their beds and
ran over to me as if they hadn't seen me for a week
I was the most important thing in the world.
They clearly anticipated a day full of wonderful things,
maybe even a one pound T-bone steak,
though they have rarely even seen one.
Then she literally danced from room to room and
joyously greeted one another,
never even noticing that one another could care less.
Never mind that the day before
they had been scolded
or that on occasion
I have left them out in the rain,
or forgotten to freshen their water,
or been late with their supper.
They greets each new day
with absolutely nothing left over
from the day before!
So, I am going to work harder
at having the same attitude as my dogs.
It's a rather sad commentary on human nature
when we feel the need to imitate the dog,
but that's the case in this instance.
After all, each new day is a brand new experience.
No one has ever before seen this morning's sunrise.
After this day is over, it will never come again.
I can't do a whole lot to change the world in general, or
undo the consequences of a lot of bad choices
on the part of people in power, but I can change,
at least to some degree, my small part of the world.
I can bring a voice of reason to an unreasonable argument.
I can bring an attitude of joy to an otherwise heavy atmosphere.
I can encourage a sense of wonder in the children I know,
and a sense of justice in their parents.
And to think, my little dogs started all this!
They are at this very moment expectantly waiting at my feet
because they know that eventually something good
will come from my hands (their breakfast).
So today I will wait expectantly and
the Universe will eventually hand us something good.
