My objective to our breeding program is to produce the best representative of the Bulldog I can.
Perfection should include breed type and style, soundness, temperament, and ability as defined by the breed standard.
Even greater importance is the production of a healthy dog that will be someone's beloved companion for many years to
come.
I do not just put two dogs together and hope in 60 days they'll have puppies so I can have extra money.
I am very selective on the Sire and Damn and very adiment on how they breed for their health as the health of the Litter
Some Breeders will try and offer you things that is Impossible to Guarantee:
This is Certified Health or Show Guarantee!
Per my Vet
Heart/Hips/Elbows/Patellas/Thyroid/Shoulders/Eyes
and guarantee you a Show Guarantee.
Watch breeders that offer you a Long Guarantee
A Bulldog Puppy has to be six months old for test
and they change and grow in weeks and months till the age of 2years
When buying a puppy
Take it to your vet and get their opinion
trust a breeder that allows you to have their puppies inspected by other vets
You can not insure a Bulldog or any other puppy of a common genetic disease or a promise they will be a champion
To insure a healthy dog is to feed them a well balanced dog food plan.
Watch all contracts to insure you have all rights to your dogs and not giving away your first picks in any of your litters
which might be hidden in a fine print.
You may say, "I only want a pet,"
"I don't need papers"
"It doesn't matter where I get an English Bulldog as long as it is in my price range."
Many people have made this mistake only to regret it later on.
Reputable breeders are breeding for betterment of the breed not to make a profit selling as many pups as possible.
Yes, it does matter who the parents are.
Where do you think your puppy gets looks, temperament and health?
Look at the parents... if you don't like them chances are you won't like the puppy when its grown.
Indiscriminate breeding produces health and temperament problems.
You think the breeder doesn't matter?
Who do you think plans the breeding, cares for the pups, provides food and medical care?
If you choose a Bulldog breeder that has one motivation - MONEY
They are going to buy the cheapest English Bulldog they can find to breed,
Regardless of family history of health, temperament problems or how good they look according to the breed standard.
Sell you a puppy for a little under a good bred Bulldog.
Most don't know or care of the family history behind the dogs they are breeding.
Nor do they know or understand the breed standard.
They are going to cut corners on food and health care.
and one of the most important things of all - LOVE.
The bulldog is the common man's dog. This breed exists due to it's courage, devotion and tenaciousness. What is unfortunate
is that whenever a breed of dog becomes popular, there are those people who see dollar signs as their only end.
The bulldog is not a "cheap" dog. There are certain expenses involved in the breeding and the raising of bulldog
pups. The chances of an entire litter of bulldog pups surviving to six weeks of age is dependent on the attention and devotion
of the breeder.
Puppy mills are not interested in the improvement of any breed of animal. They exist for one reason only, that is to line
their pockets with money made from the suffering of defenseless dogs. Have you ever wondered what happens to puppies that
are not sold at the pet stores?
The medical problems associated with the bulldog breed are normally not found in dogs who have been bred by responsible,
caring breeders. These breeders are extremely cautious in the genetic backgrounds of the dogs they breed.
Some genetic faults "hide" for several generations, then for some reason reappear. Medical Conditions are found
in bulldogs that have a questionable pedigree. Responsible and attentive breeders will not allow these conditions to exist
in their gene pool. Should a throw back occur in their breeding program, they would certainly want to know about it. They
would not knowingly allow a puppy to be placed in a home, that was not of good quality.
